1.1. The place(s) where you put every note that has to be processed later

1.2. Caveats

  • Processing your inbox (specially if it’s huge) may give you a feeling of throwing away your information, since you know you have it in your Inbox, whereas if you refile it, you may not know where is stored
    • If you have everything properly set up you will find it, and if is not interesting enough, you won’t search for it either
      • Properly set up your system
        • Refiling has to be as frictionless as possible. I tend to resist processing my inbox if I have duplication of systems for example (orgwiki vs dokuwiki)
      • Let go the feeling of having to use everything you have in your inbox
Because of novelty bias, new info will stand out more than it should
  • Fear Of Missing Out
Capture only what resonates (a principle of BASB). If you have trouble deciding whether something is worth capturing:
    • Make a brief summary
