A backlink for a given web resource is a link from some other website (the referrer) to that web resource (the referent). A web resource may be (for example) a website, web page, or web directory.
1.1. backlinks allow you to transfer notes between systems more easily
You can correct broken links when you’re moving a note from system A to system B (which you could do by greping your files anyway, but this is easier)
- Move note from system A to system B
- Check backlinks for that note
- Update links in system A so that they point to system B
